Today we headed to the registrars office in Chongqing to make our adoption official in China! It was a small office! We got there and waited our turn. There were a couple of more families there when we got there.
We had to make sure we had our gifts for the registrars office!! We all sat around and talked about the first night with the girls, let the girls play a little bit. They were a little restless at times and who wouldn't!!! They went through a lot of change in one day!
When it was our turn, we went and answered a few questions, did a fingerprint, signed papers and then we took our first family picture with Hope (minus our two boys!!!) That was a challenge because Hope had become facsinated with Fred's ink pen. She wouldn't let go of that thing for NOTHING in the world!!! She held on to that pen for dear life!!! After everyone was done with pictures and the filling out of paperwork, they gave us a beautiful gift from Chongqing. It is a brass plate of the Great Hall of Government in a box made with wood from Chongqing! We will treasure that forever!!!!!
After we all got back downstairs, we left to go to the store. We went to the Carrefore!!! LOVE THAT STORE!!! It is very much like WalMart but it has several floors and you can take your buggy (cart) up each floor! They have escalators that have ridges that hold your buggy as you go up!!! It was neat!! Needless to say our little group got lots of interesting stares as we all went stroller shopping and snack shopping, baby shopping and such. Every where we went, we always got a lot of attention!!!
We all headed out back to the bus with our treasures and our groceries and strollers! Lina helped us all get a great deal on strollers!!! We all got the same stroller except when we bought all that the store had, they pulled out 2 more different ones.
After that excitement, we headed back to the hotel for a bit of a rest!!!!!
